March 2016 – Jeanmarie P. Costello appointed to the Judicial Screening Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
Jeanmarie Costello has been named “Pro Bono Attorney of the Month” three times by the Suffolk County Bar Association for her valued contributions in providing legal services to indigent clients and for her numerous volunteer experiences as a Small Claims Arbitrator and a Moot Court judge.
She is an active member of the Suffolk County Bar Association (Family Law and Trust & Estates Sections), the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association, and the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association.
Active in the community throughout her life, Jeanmarie Costello served on the board of the Riverhead-based nonprofit Aid to Developmentally Disabled, where she was a past-president. She is board Treasurer of the Riverhead Community Awareness Program (CAP), an organization the helps area youth, and a past president and trustee of the Riverhead Free Library. Jeanmarie Costello also served on the school board of St. Isidore’s and St. John the Evangelist.
Jeanmarie Costello’s reputation of integrity earned her a spot on the Town of Riverhead’s Board of Ethics, a position appointed by the town council.
